Ann attended the Edible Sac High Launch in Sacramento October 9 at the Sacramento Charter High School where Alice Waters, American Chef, Activist, Co-Owner of Chez Panisse — as well as author of the forward to The Davis Farmers Cookbook — was a featured speaker. Georgeanne and I celebrated our cookbook with family, friends and guests last night at Alice Waters’ famed Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley. The chefs created a menu inspired by our book. The food, surroundings and company were so much fun. Special thanks to Alice, who wrote the forward to our book.

Farm Fresh to You is giving away our book in a contest with their members. How fun. Founders of both the Davis Farmers Market and Farm Fresh to You, Kathy Barsotti and Martin Barnes, would be so proud of their sons and families who own and run the operation now.  Yeah, power to the second generation.
